Thanks to this Japanese twitter user, we’ve got a line on something called the ‘Nintendo Network’. It’s on the box art of the new Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, out in Japan February 12th. Seems he’s gotten it early.
Now we don’t know if the ‘Nintendo Network’ is a rebranding of their online service, a completely new network ala Xbox Live, or if its something different. Andriasang notes that that back of the box says that it supports paid downloadable content. If you recall, that capability was snuck in to an update last year, and it looks like this will be the first title to support it.
It might just be that, it might be a massive new network. My money is on the former, but as soon as any news comes out, you’ll hear about it here.
