Iiiiit’s update day! Yes, that’s right, today Wii U users are receiving a 30MB update to “version 2.1.3 U” for the system. The update is worldwide, and will give users “further improvements to overall system stability”, according to Nintendo.
That said, even though Nintendo admitted some time ago that the Wii U was in desperate need of a speed boost, this isn’t the speed update we’ve been waiting for. However, we do know that a series of updates are on the way that will ultimately get games up and running much faster and will streamline the user experience on the console.
Give yourself an extra minute or two before playing today, to get that update underway.
