Ratings info for Disney Infinity’s 3DS version has been posted by the ESRB, and it bears an uncanny resemblance to another game many of us love… see if you can figure it out.
Disney Infinity: Toy Box Challenge will be a “multiplayer party game,” which will include gameboards and—yes, you got it—competitive mini-games. We’re looking at puzzles, fighting, racing, “boss characters” and a “one-on-one battle with swords on a pirate ship.”
*cough*Mario Party*cough*
But don’t just take my word for it! Here’s the full ESRB description in all its glorious Disney-fied-ness:
“This is a multiplayer “party game” in which players move Disney/Pixar characters around various game boards to compete in mini-game challenges. Mini-games include solving puzzles, racing, fighting, and collecting various items. Several mini-games depict characters shooting “cartoony” pistols, blasters, or cannonballs at ships or enemies/boss characters (e.g., droids, giant squid, pirates). A handful of mini-games require players to shoot other characters with projectiles, resulting in cries of pain and/or “dizzy-star” effects. One mini-game depicts a one-on-one battle with swords on a pirate ship.”
For those of you looking forward to this one, it’s expected to be a cross-platform release on August 18th in North America (20th in Europe).
