First, that title was terrible. I apologize.
Second, I’m betting you’ve forgotten something amidst all this talk of Pikmin 3, the Year of Luigi, and the Wii U’s sales numbers: there are actually some decent third-party titles headed to the Wii U this year. Say what?
Yes, it’s true! It’s just that almost no one is talking about it on Nintendo news sites like ours, unless there’s something big to report. The good news is, today you get your reminder, and it’s a decent few minutes spent out of your life.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is headed to the Wii U in the near future, and it’s the latest title in Ubisoft’s leading Assassin’s Creed franchise. The story centers around character Edward Kenway, who is in the Caribbean along with plenty of recognizable historical pirates.
There will be plenty of naval battles in this offering, and the hope is that the dev team made plenty of improvements to that feature between the previous game and this one. To soothe our fears, Ubisoft’s latest trailer focuses almost exclusively on high seas battles (and, uh, explosions).
No bad, Ubisoft, not bad.
