In some exciting Nintendo-themed news out of PAX Prime, the final battle of the Omegathon—a weekend-long event wherein players complete in a series of elimination games until there are only two challengers left competing for a massive prize—was a custom-built Super Mario Maker level.
The level was actually built by Nintendo just for this event, and it’s brutal. An attendee caught the whole thing on film so you can watch the battle play out in real time right here .
Talk about having to perform under pressure! These final showdowns are always fun, and this year was no exception. The question everyone is asking now is…when will this level show up for online play after the game’s release on September 11th?
