Last week, the internet was abuzz with speculation over the teaser website for a new Koei Tecmo game. The site featured a single image with flames in the background, a date and a short phrase about the “fated battle” beginning on December 6th.
Well, this week’s issue of Famitsu spilled the beans a little earlier than expected, and now we know: the teaser was for the next entry in the company’s horse racing simulation series, Winning Post. Winning Post 9 will be headed to the Switch in March 2019, and if history holds on this one, it’ll only receive a Japanese release.
Perplexed? It’s the truth—the image on the site now shows horses in the background, amidst the flames.
