You may remember Czech publisher Cinemax, whose extraordinarily prolific team produced fourteen games for DSiWare. And while the 3DS has been around for quite some time now, they haven’t venture to create something for the “new” platform until now—but this one looks like it might be worth the wait.
The new title, tentatively slated for a summer release, is called The Keep. It’s planned to be a dungeon crawler played in first person, using the 3DS’s touch controls to please “newcomers and fans of the genre alike.” It’ll also make use of real-time combat, and while we don’t have a trailer for the game just yet, that’s apparently coming very soon.
The game has taken 15 months to develop, with the team pouring their love and passion for old-school video games into this particular title, which is often a very good sign when it comes to these types of titles.
This is a publisher with a proven track record, so keep an eye out for more details on this title if it’s in your sphere of interest.
