Charging cradles are a strange little accessory, aren’t they? Bits of plastic in which you place your 3DS, when you could just plug it in directly and save the few dollars. Maybe it’s the appeal of seeing your 3DS in its place, standing upright, but regardless of the reasoning, previous limited stock of colored charging cradles for the 3DS XL were in high demand for some time.
In an interesting and slightly odd move, instead of doing the same for the New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo has only released a black charging cradle for $9 on the Nintendo of America online store. That’s it, just black.
