Nintendo announced a crossover for Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem ages ago, and fans had all but given up on the prospect of it ever arriving for real. It seemed to be in trouble, stuck in development hell.
But today’s Nintendo Direct changed all that—it’s still alive, and it’s coming to the Wii U in 2016. It was described on the broadcast as “a truly modern RPG, where everyday life exists alongside a secret world of fantasy.”
Sounds like something fans of Atlus and Nintendo can get behind… provided you have the patience to wait just a little while longer.
