Another wave of EA Game Servers shut down

Not that this should be a surprise to anyone, seeing as it’s company policy to shut down the game servers for titles where “the number of players still enjoying the older games dwindles below a point — fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles” it’s still a sad day to see them go.  Of course other systems are affected much more than Nintendo, for obvious reasons.  Still, the decision to shut down a sports game from 2010 does seem like it’s jumping the gun a bit, as it will have been online for just over 2 years.  Get your PGA Tour 2010 and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 online matches in before August 11th though, as after then they will be no more.
