Nintendo Downloads October 6th

Honestly, I don’t feel my britches being set on fire to hit up the e-shops this week, but this is what we’ve got.  Horizon Riders for WiiWare looks like it might be an interesting mix of F-Zero racing and shooting, and if you were aching to play Game Boy pool on your 3DS, you finally can!  Not really sure why they aren’t bringing these 3DS Virtual Console titles to the DSi, but this one isn’t a huge loss.

3DS eShop

Side Pocket – Game Boy – 1 Player – $2.99

Chalk up, and get ready for some cool pool action! Stroke a mean cue, and you might just work your way to the big time in the Pocket Competition. Execute consecutive shots, sink by numerical order, and perform amazing trick shots such as massés and jumps for a chance to earn additional points or shots. If you manage to sink a ball in a pocket marked with a star, you’ll get a chance for bonuses!

Test your billiard skills in two great modes! Pocket offers the traditional 16-ball game, and 9-Ball is a more contemporary version of the sport but still quite the challenge!

DSiWare/eShop

Micah has been playing games since his first pong machine, and has been writing for as long as he could grip a pencil and not drool on the paper. So, for about a week.
