Nintendo Gamer Points to English release of Monster Hunter Tri G

If you don’t know what Monster Hunter is, that’s probably because you’re not Japanese.  It is an absolutely staggeringly huge franchise in Japan, and given the amount I’ve played on PSP, with good reason.  The 3DS in Japan has gotten a re-release of the Wii game Monster Hunter Tri with extra content from Monster Hunter Third from the PSP and some new content as well.

There hasn’t been any kind of announcement from Nintendo over Europe or North America getting a release of it, but thanks to a review over at Nintendo-gamer, perhaps something has been let out of the bag.

Tri G is a great reworking of what was already a wonderful game, and probably has more content than any other 3DS title available – so it’s just a pity we won’t get to play it until later this year. What is this, the ’90s?

Tri G has everything that makes Monster Hunter great, but in the absence of online it’s probably better to wait until a bit later in the year for the European release.

They must know something we don’t, and that something is a very good thing.  I would love to play some Monster Hunter on my 3DS, and even if you don’t know you do, you probably would too.
