Yep, Pokemon Black & White 2 dropped in Japan on June 23rd, and over the course of the weekend, racked up a sales figure of 1,618,621 unit sold.
Wow. That’s this year’s fastest-selling game, 2012’s first game on any of the platforms to pass a million units in sales, and the third-fastest selling DS game ever.
Now, as impressive as those numbers are, it’s actually not as impressive as the figures for the first game, Pokemon Black & White. Back in 2010, that game sold 2,637,285 copies on its first weekend on store shelves.
