Turns out Luigi won’t be returning as a homeowner anytime soon. A press release from Nintendo of America has announced that the highly anticipated 3DS game won’t be coming to your handhelds until 2013… which is a significant delay from the fall release fans had expected.
And fans have been waiting a long time for this one—it’s been nearly a decade since the release of the original Luigi’s Mansion game, so the delay is going to make fans even antsier… and give a game a lot more to live up to.
The official statement from Nintendo of America said, “Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will now be available in the first half of 2013 in the Americas”, suggesting that the European late 2012 date still stands (as no one has said otherwise).
