The name Nicalis is no stranger to those who use Nintendo’s download services with any regularity, and perhaps is currently best known for the three separate versions of Cave Story (with a fourth rumoured to be on the way). The publisher and developer, to the delight of many, has revealed something rather new for them that’s creating a bit of buzz.
The company has released a trailer for a 2D fighting came called Yatagarasu, which will head to the eShop in both North America and Europe. Some of the development team members worked on the King of Fighters series in the past, so it’s shaping up to be a decent product—and if you’re headed to PAX Prime at the end of the month, you’ll get a chance to give it a shot.
The game will feature single player and two-player versus modes, and the Indie Megabooth at PAX Prime will have a hands-on station for attendees to punch and kick their way through the demo. We have the trailer below, and hope to bring you our first impressions soon.
