Wii U Getting back to the non-gamers with NintendoTVii

Yea, that’s going to be stupid to type.  It looks like Nintendo is making a solid bid with the Wii U to be allowed to take center stage in your living room.  Take a look at the video.

So what we’ve got here, is Hulu, Netflix and Amazon integration, which is awesome.  Then TiVo integration, which is awesome if you have one, and then social networking integration, which is also great.  Personally being a Canadian I can’t watch Hulu and I don’t own a TiVo, which sucks for me, but I’m hoping Nintendo of Canada has something figured out with the cable companies up here because it looks fantastic.

When watching sports I, and I know others, are on laptops or tablets checking stats, chatting on team forums or reddit game threads and looking up players.  Having this all integrated as well as DVR functionalities, personalized taste profiles and recommendations and a fully functional remote is awesome.  I am of course assuming that it will all work well, and that remains to be seen.  If it does, this could be a game changer.
