We all know that DLC for Assassin’s Creed III is coming… with such a huge release, it would be a missed opportunity for sales if Ubisoft didn’t offer DLC to the franchise’s fans. And with the Wii U all set to make extensive use of online options, Nintendo fans are going to quickly get used to the concept of additional content for their games, whether they like it or not.
Ubisoft is well aware of the opportunities on Wii U, and has confirmed that all planned DLC will be available on the new system. The extra content will have an additional single-player campaign that’s split between three episodic releases, and the multiplayer offerings will have extra characters and maps.
Currently, we don’t know what the pricing will be for the content on Wii U, but gamers playing on the Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to pay about $30 for a DLC “season pass” for all additional content and a preview week before everyone else is able to purchase it.
