First Wii U eShop Image

Even though Nintendo has kept quiet on the Wii U’s retail shop on the system, Nintendo of Japan’s website has revealed the very first image of the new console’s eShop. In the image, the interface is clear and looks quite similar to that found on the 3DS. To go along with that, Nintendo has promised content similar to what we’ve received on the 3DS, such as demos and game trailers.

You’ll also be able to see how others have rated games in the shop, and commenting will be available on each game—similar to how it’s done in the 3DS eShop now. But unlike the 3DS, you’ll be able to purchase downloadable content while other software is running, so that you won’t need to exit the game you’re playing in order to make a purchase.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
