Double Fine’s The Cave On Wii U “Identical” to Other Versions

The first game we’ll see on Wii U from Double Fine is coming to the eShop early next year, and the company has been chatting a bit lately about what makes the Nintendo platform version of The Cave worth your while.

On the Wii U, the GamePad will be used for character selection as well as focusing the in-game camera on a particular individual through the use of double-tap. Double Fine’s Chris Remo spoke to Joystiq recently about the Wii U version being literally identical to the game on other systems:

“We did work really hard to ensure that visually everything you’re seeing is identical to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, so there’s no downscaling, there’s nothing going on that is not up to par with the other next-gen systems. There’s nothing super wacky going on, but it’s a completely full-featured version of the game.”

We don’t know about anyone else, but we’re definitely looking forward to this one!

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
