There’s been confirmation from Nintendo that the newest title in the Fire Emblem series—Fire Emblem: Awakening, which launched on February 5th—has seen the best first month sales in in the entire history of the game series. Since launch date in the United States, the sales have exceeded 180,000 units and counting.
And perhaps even more impressive? About 63,000 copies were ones downloaded through the 3DS eShop, proving that offering digital retail titles was a lucrative move for Nintendo.
While we haven’t played the game yet here at Nintendo Fire, a quick jaunt around the internets will reveal a slew of positive reviews and good words said about the game and its play experience.
