Wii U owners will know this story well… they were promised plenty of features on the system’s TVii service, and it as used as a selling point by Nintendo to move more units. But with a month’s delay after launch plus the lack of features when it actually arrived—ie. only Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video—folks looking forward to the service have been a little miffed.
We’ve all still been waiting for TiVO, Netflix, and Google Maps… and thankfully, Nintendo of America has just announced that Netflix has arrived! TiVO is apparently set for an early 2013 release, but here we are at the end of March and still no sign of it.
That said, the TVii service is planned to hit Europe sometime later this year, though streaming Netflix through the app is a pretty good alternative in the meantime.
