If you’re a rabid Final Fantasy fan, you’re likely one of the 3DS owners who enjoyed the Theatrhythm game and its highly memorable music—not that memorable music is unusual for the FF franchise.
However, if you’re a little tired of tapping and swiping (the stylus… what were you thinking?), or if you’re an appreciator of the music and less a fan of rhythm games, Square Enix has now released four albums containing the music of the game.
The albums are divided by challenge modes: Event (EMS), Battle (BMS), Field (FMS), and Chaos Shrine. That said, you should be able to find them on iTunes simply by searching for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy.
They’re not too pricey (though buying all four will certainly set you back a penny or two), currently sitting at $8.97 USD.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the music collected isn’t completely comprehensive, but it’s highly worthwhile for fans of the game, the series, and video game music in general. And, the music from the game is more or less a “best of” selection of themes from other FF titles, namely 1-13—so if that’s your thing, give them a listen! Or, go play the game.
