If you missed today’s Nintendo Direct, one of the big announcements was that there’s a new Zelda game on the way this year! It’s currently in development for the 3DS, and will be set in the same world as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Of course, it’ll have plenty of original dungeons and a new storyline—using the same top-down perspective that we’ve seen before, but using 3D graphics… of course!
We saw a lot of the familiar, beloved aspects of Zelda games in the Direct presentation, but one of the new features was Link’s ability to transform himself into a drawing and… *shlurp*… stick to the walls! Of course, this is a necessary feature of this game’s navigation throughout various areas.
No release date as of yet… but it’s coming this year!
