Not too long ago, 505 Games announced a new cricket game for the Wii U: Ashes Cricket 2013. The game’s release was all set to coincide with the summer’s Ashes series, making cricket fans all over the world feel like they’re a part of the action.
However, the release date for the game has been pushed back to July 2013, apparently so that the overall quality of the game can be improved. The Senior VP of Global Brand & Marketing for the company, Tim Woodley, said that the overhaul of the game engine will allow for “brand new features in batting, bowling, and fielding.”
This will allow a higher quality cricket gaming title, and while the Ashes begins on July 10th, we don’t have a new specific July release date for the game… but for the sake of the fans, hopefully it’ll be around the same time.
