Yesterday’s surprise Nintendo Direct Mini broadcasts brought some exciting news for 3DS owners who use the StreetPass feature of their handheld consoles—both the European and North American broadcasts announced a StreetPass Enhancement coming to Nintendo Zone soon!
This enhancement will be along in a few weeks, and will utilize the thousands of Nintendo Zone hotspots set up all over the place, turning them into relay systems for StreetPass. When someone with a 3DS passes the hotspot, they’ll receive the StreetPass data for the previous person to pass by… and when the next person comes along, they’ll get your data, and so on. Puzzle pieces and everything!
It’s an upgrade designed to help those who receive few StreetPasses to make the most of the feature.
