There’s a movement underway… a movement to get Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO of Nintendo of America, into the upcoming new Super Smash Bros. game as a playable character!
Nintendo fans are eagerly pleading with the powers that be to put Reggie in the game as a unique character, perhaps using Nintendo controllers and characters as his attacks. And even better, Reggie himself has responded to the proposition, saying he’s open to the prospect of being in the game—but of course, the game’s director, Masahiro Sakurai, would have to approve the idea.
So far, a petition on Change.org has received over twenty-two thousand signatures, and you can add yours RIGHT HERE!
And once you’ve done that—if you’re feeling the love for Reggie in Smash Bros.—spread the word by Tweeting using the hashtag #ReggieForSmashBros @Sora_Sakurai and let him know you want to see the Regginator himself on your TV screen. The petition also suggests Tweeting at other various Nintendo accounts, so feel free to hustle as much or as little as you like on this one.
It’s great to see Reggie being a good sport about this proposition—who knows, maybe we’ll see him in a future game after all!
