This week’s Nintendo Direct presentation brought along news that Zelda fans have been slavering over… the previously announced The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS will be released this upcoming November in North America and Europe.
The game is a direct sequel to one of the most beloved SNES games in Nintendo history, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The Direct presentation revealed footage, screenshots, artwork and story details.
Satoru Iwata also explained that the second, dark Triforce below the gold one in the logo will play a role in the plot of the new game, with the idea that there’s a mirror world wherein this object may hold power. Link will be traveling between his own world and the “dark” world through a transformation into the drawn-like form that has been showed before.
This is the first 3DS game featuring Link, and it’s been a long time coming. New puzzles, new dungeon, new story to obsess over. Watch the video below and see if you can contain your excitement!
