The “Nintendo Minute” Skylanders Video That’s 10 Minutes Long

Yesterday, the highly anticipated new instalment in the Skylanders series of games was released to long lines of parents and children, landing on the Wii U and the 3DS (among other consoles). Activision’s Skylanders SWAP Force brought with it many, many new figures and accessories to drop cash on, which could be a point of hesitation for folks who don’t have hundreds of dollars to sink into the game.

Nintendo has posted a new “Nintendo Minute” video that’s actually, uh, over ten minutes long, to show off the Wii U version of the game in action. The uninitiated and uncertain (and the rest of us, really) will get to see how the swappable parts of the new figures are used to access secret bonus areas, as well as the co-op angle and features that are specific to the Wii U.

It’s worth a watch if you’ve been on the fence about the new game, and if you’ve already headed out and picked up your copy over the weekend… well, you’ve probably already seen most of what’s shown here!

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
