Yesterday, Sega announced that developer The Creative Assembly is hard at work on a new title in the long-running series of Alien video games, based on the cult classic movie franchise. The game, titled Alien: Isolation, centers on Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda.
The game was announced for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC… and naturally, this caused many to wonder, what about the Wii U?
Nintendo fans took to Twitter in search of answers, and received this:
@Krawzorz Right now, we don’t have plans to put the game on Wii U.

Considering the fiasco that was Aliens: Colonial Marines, and how it got booted from a Wii U release after being torn apart in reviews from other systems, why would anyone even want another Alien game in the first place?
Different team, different type of game—so it may end up as a worthwhile instalment, which would be a shame to miss out on with the Wii U… but it looks like that’s the reality this time around.
