PAX East: Handheld Tournaments (Sunday)

Sad about the lack of official Nintendo-based handheld tourneys yesterday? Or maybe you’re a little old-school and still holding out against the evils of 3D? Never fear! Today’s handheld tournaments are on the Nintendo DS, so you can play even if you have the old, old grey system of oldness. Did we mention it’s old? Maybe we should be saying “retro.” That sounds a lot cooler…

  • 11:30am – Mario Tennis Open
  • 4:30pm – Tetris DS

Remember to head directly to the handheld lounge to sign up for these as soon as the doors open! It’s first-come, first-served, though there is usually a waiting list because occasionally, people forget to show up. It happens, we understand.

And as an FYI, there were a lot of people having Pokémon battles yesterday (and plenty of queues to get in on), enough for a room to be opened specifically for these mini-tourneys and battles. If you were hesitant to head over there yesterday because you don’t like talking to people, definitely check it out today and ask at the front handheld lounge desk. We’d be surprised if the same thing didn’t happen today, so get in on that before the weekend is through!
