Videos Provide a Glimpse of Upcoming Child of Light

Although we’ve seen much attention online (and on this site) about upcoming major releases on the Wii U—Mario Kart 8, anyone?—there’s one title that, by all appearances, it would be a disservice to ignore. Ubisoft’s Child of Light is here next week, and we’ve got a feeling that it’ll be worth your while.

The game has many RPG ideas and fuses them into a stylized artistic world that feels like a fairytale. The game uses the UbiArt engine that the company developed and used in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, and if nothing else, the visuals are worth spending time drooling over.

The game will drop in North America next week, and Nintendo is prepping us for it by sharing some Child of Light “Making Of” videos that talk about making the game. You’ll learn a bit about how the game was designed—and maybe get you even more excited about what’s to come.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
