Classic Mega Man Games Heading to Wii U in August

Mega Man fans, we know you’re out there… and you may be getting eager, because you probably saw Mega Man Battle Network recently appear in the Wii U eShop. Well, here’s the even better news: a classic Mega Man game will be released every Thursday in August on the Wii U eShop!

Here’s the list of titles heading your way! Release order hasn’t been confirmed, but the Capcom Unity blog has confirmed that these are the titles of choice:

  • Mega Man 5 (NES)
  • Mega Man 6 (NES)
  • Mega Man X3 (SNES)
  • Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge (GBA)

You may recall that there was another Mega Man promotion earlier this year, on the 3DS Virtual Console, so that’s why this kind of information sounds familiar.

It’s exciting to see Nintendo able to add these high-profile classic titles to their library—that said, it’s only on the North American eShop at the moment, but we assume other regions will be seeing this addition in the future.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
