Alternate Costume DLC for Hyrule Warriors

Did you watch the most recent Nintendo Direct? It was a Hyrule Warriors Direct presentation, giving us some new great details concerning localized aspects of the game—including alternate costumes!

Nintendo has been showcasing these alternate costumes in Japan for a little while now, and the Direct presentation let us know that these costumes for Zelda and Link are not going to be standard unlockable content items within the game.

Instead, these costumes will be available as DLC packs from various retailers as pre-order bonuses. We don’t know yet which retailers are participating in this, or whether you’ll be able to purchase the DLC at a later time after release.

Currently, there are three alternate costumes confirmed for Link and Zelda, featuring their garb from these well-known titles: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

The third DLC offering, confirmed for the Demon King Ganondorf, is available for those who register the game on Club Nintendo within the first four weeks after the game’s release.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
