It’s been announced by Sega that their impending release of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric has been pushed up to an earlier release date—a week earlier than their original plans, in fact.
The Wii U game, developed by Big Red Button, originally was slated for release on November 18th. Now we’ll see it on store shelves on November 11th, in order to coincide with the Sanzaru Games release of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal on the 3DS.
Whether this was done to avoid a competition week with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U or to make the release of new Sonic games more noteworthy & have a bigger “splash” in terms of marketing and shelf space, we may never know…
