At this inaugural PAX South, you may find yourself overwhelmed with choice… what to do, what to do? One way to make a decision and stick with it is to get yourself into a console tournament. For the next few days, we’ll be highlighting the Nintendo-console tournaments that you might be interested in participating in! These tournaments are billed as “bite-sized events” that take at most 4 hours, but usually far less.
Sign-ups are capped at 64 players tops, and signups begin at 10am on the day of each tournament. You’ll get practice time between 10-11am for the tournaments that day. Head to the console area in the convention center when you arrive to get in on this action!
- 12pm-3pm – Super Mario All-Stars (SNES)
- 2pm-4pm – Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – Party
- 4pm-6pm – Mario Kart 8 – Part 1
- 4pm-7pm – Super Smash Bros. Melee (Gamecube)
- 6pm-8pm – Mario Kart 8 – Part 2
- 8pm-10pm – Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – Part 1
- 8pm-11pm – Street Fighter 3 Turbo (SNES)
- 9pm-11pm – Tetris Attack
- 10pm-12am – Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – Part 2
…and FWIW, this may be the most Nintendo-console tournaments we’ve ever seen in one day of PAX before!
