SteamWorld Heist is an upcoming download game that’s been catching the attention of indie game fans around the world—it’s being touted as one of the most intriguing upcoming download titles of 2015, and it already has a fan base thanks to its predecessor, SteamWorld Dig.
Image & Form, the game’s developer, has stressed that SteamWorld Heist is a follow-up and not a sequel to the previous game, and they are hoping to release the game on multiple platforms including the Wii U and 3DS.
The game is a bit of a departure from the previous title, taking on 2D perspective and turn-based strategy. Players will also be invading and looting ships within the universe, and battling steam-powered robots. Of course.
While news about the game has been sparse to date, the public will be able to give the game a shot at the upcoming PAX East convention in Boston, March 6th-8th.
The company will also be showing the game at The Steampunk World’s Fair in New Jersey, May 15th-17th later this year.
Keep an eye out for our First Look report of the game during PAX East!
