PAX East: Nintendo’s On the Way and It’s Bringing Splatoon

Thank goodness for this bit of news—Nintendo has actually decided to attend PAX East this year, and they’re bringing along a nice pile of playable titles for everyone to check out.

The convention runs from March 6th-8th, and here are the titles it’s bringing along for the ride:

  • Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.
  • Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D
  • Splatoon
  • Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

The version of Splatoon that we’ll see will be the E3 2014 build, where up to eight players can duke it out in a world full of shape-shifting squids. The New Nintendo 3DS XL will be there, of course, and naturally plenty of other Nintendo-hardware titles (indie, eShop) will be found all over the convention floor.

Regarding the decision to bring these games, Nintendo of America’s Executive VP, Scott Moffitt, said this:

“We love giving our fans an opportunity to check out our latest products at PAX events. The newly released New Nintendo 3DS XL is sure to be popular with the many show-goers looking for StreetPass tags, and Splatoon will let attendees get their first hands-on experience with one of the year’s most creative games.”

Sounds good to us! We’ll be letting you know about our First Impressions on these games (excluding the ones we let you know about after PAX South) and giving you the full run-down during and after the show.
