The Man Behind Fluidity & Stealth Inc. is Moving On

At Curve Digital, Jonathan Biddle played the role of Design Director and was the brains behind games like Stealth Inc. and Fluidity / Hydroventure. Despite the success of these titles, Biddle is moving on from Curve Digital to create his own indie studio called onebitbeyond.

The good news for those of you wondering about Curve Digital, Biddle’s new studio will still be associated with them as onebitbeyond publishes games through Curve. Over the last few years, Curve has expanded from developer status to publishing titles of other studios, such as Roll7’s OlliOlli on Nintendo platforms.

Biddle released an official statement on the move, saying:

“I’m so intensely proud of the work I’ve done as part of the incredible team at Curve over the past ten years, and I’m hoping to continue creating games as fresh and exciting as those Curve made with my own studio for years to come. Having seen the intimate inner workings of Curve Digital’s publishing as it has grown, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone more with publishing my future titles. I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Curve as onebitbeyond Ltd.”

Prior to this shift, Biddle was working at Curve on a shooter called White Space, though the ownership of this game will now shift to onebitbeyond so that Biddle can continue working on it. Take a look at the trailer here:

It’s nice to see a developer who can move on to new things while still maintaining a good relationship with his previous employer—and it’s also great to see that the connection between them will continue into the future, which we’re seeing as a positive testament to Biddle’s significant work at Curve.

We’re wishing all the best to both parties moving forward, and we can’t wait to see what Curve Digital and onebitbeyond will bring us in the future!

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
