Nintendo President Satoru Iwata Has Passed Away at 55

In heartbreaking news today from Japan, Nintendo has announced the death of the company’s president Satoru Iwata.

“Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11th, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.”

From everyone at Nintendo Fire, our deep sympathies are extended to not only Mr. Iwata’s family, but also his friends and co-workers.

Thank you for everything, Iwata-san.
