Games Done Quick is perhaps the best known of speedrunning organizations, not to mention the most loved among the gaming community for their charm and ability to make a real difference through their efforts. They hold two major events each year to raise funds for charity groups, and they live-stream the events so that we can all be a part of watching these incredibly skilled gamers play a variety of games.
This year it’s happening in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and begins on July 26th (Sunday) at 1PM EST. The entire live stream will be viewable on Twitch, and you can check out the schedule to find out when you want to watch your favorite games being zipped through at lightening speeds.
As always, there will be a mix of old and new games, and it’ll run for a week (until August 1st) with all proceeds heading toward Doctors Without Borders.
