The Deer God Leaping onto Wii U eShop in December

It was way back in August 2014 that a Kickstarter campaign for The Deer God ended with the needed funding, enticing over 2500 backers with its eye-catching pixel art and an endearing soundtrack—and, naturally, a stretch goal for a Wii U eShop release.

Although the game has already been released on a number of other platforms—PC, mobile, and Xbox One—the Wii U version of the game will be published by Mobot Studios sometime this coming December.

Mobot Studios is no stranger to bringing games to the eShop, so players who are familiar with their offerings and for whom The Deer God looks intriguing will undoubtedly look forward to controlling their Deer God creature through various environments. It’s a platformer with combat and exploration elements, as well as a night vs. day system to bring an extra level of challenge.

Check out the trailer below! It’s for the Steam version of the game, but you get the idea.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
