I think we all knew that Nintendo’s new NFC powered figurines were going to be big, but I for one had no idea quite how big. In their first year of release Nintendo has managed to sell over 50 million amiibo Figures and Cards, almost 25 million of those were figures.
I can only predict this is going to get even crazier when they finally get around to releasing Pokemon amiibos for a new Wii U Pokemon game.
