The Shantae series of games has been embraced over the years by Nintendo fans, finding much of its recent success via Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on the Wii U and Switch. The game brought a whole new generation of Shantae fans on board, but WayForward knows well that a considerable amount of the fandom harkens back to the original release of Shantae on the Game Boy Color… and so, they’ve announced an art book that pays tribute to the long-haired genie’s past and future.
Though few details have been released so far, the announcement was made this past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con and was given a “sometime in 2018” release window. The art will span all four of the Shantae games.
