Developer Isn’t Sure if Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Will Even Run on Switch

After ongoing listings appearing for the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy—including an entry right there in Nintendo’s eShop—there’s still been no announcement for the title’s actual release on the Switch.

The title is currently available on the PS4 and Xbox One, but when Toys for Bob producer Peter Kavic appeared on the Game Informer Show last month, he spoke about the decision to release the title on other platforms being up to Activision. When asked directly whether the Switch could handle the release, his response was that he “has yet to even see it tried, but maybe.”

Well, then. That certainly sounds like the development of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy isn’t even happening, that it was never happening, and that the listings on Nintendo are a mistake (or wishful thinking?). Since Activision has never made an official statement about it, we’re thinking that this means there isn’t a plan to release it on Switch after all.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
