Macaulay Culkin Named Executive Producer for ToeJam & Earl: Back In The Groove

In what we’re fairly confident in naming the most surprising press release in our inbox over the past twelve months (at least), American actor and entertainer Macaulay Culkin has been revealed as an executive producer for the upcoming ToeJam & Earl: Back In The Groove game.

The title actually launches on Switch tomorrow for $19.99USD, and the press release states that Culkin “brought plenty of input to the table, representing the loyal fanbase and making sure the game would be as groovy and funky as the original title while receiving plenty of modern updates.”

Although this might have some scratching their heads, Culkin—best known in pop culture for his role as Kevin McCallister in the Home Alone films—has been vocal on Twitter (@IncredibleCulk ) about his love for the series. Last year, he tweeted that he’d rather play the game than watch the Oscars, for example.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
