Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Heading to Switch

A sequel is coming to the popular 3D platformer title Yooka-Laylee, on its way from Team17 and Playtonic Games. And it arrives in 2019!

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will build on the events of the first game, but unlike that title, this will not be a 3D platformer—rather, it will feature a Zelda-esque overworld with “2.5D” levels where you’ll solve puzzles, chat with NPCs, and do your best to defeat Capital B. Players who manage to liberate Queen Pheobee’s Royal Beettalion Guard will have better odds when it comes to beating the “Impossible Lair.”

Of course, we have no idea what any of that means yet, but details should emerge soon. It’ll be released on multiple platforms, but we know you’re only here for Switch news, so there’s that. May we offer you a trailer?

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
