Play Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure This Autumn

Before you start groaning, just hold on a moment. Yes, this is another Ice Age video game based on the film series, and yes, some of the previously released Ice Age games have been decent and others have… not. Developer Just Add Water is ready to take their turn with Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure, a 3D platformer that follows comedic relief character Scrat as he travels through locations familiar to Ice Age film fans on a quest to find his acorn (what else?).

There’s not a whole lot of detail beyond what publisher Outright Games has been peppering onto social in the last little while, which amounts to:

“Explore adventure-packed locations to discover treasures that unlock special powers and help Scrat to jump higher, grab heavier objects and find every last treasure in this all new Nutty adventure!”

Screenshots of a “pre-alpha” build have been released, and they don’t look half bad.

See? We told you to hang on. If scrambling your way to the Scratazon Temple in search of your lost acorn sounds like it might provide some entertainment, you’ll be able to do so this coming fall. And if you’re really keen on it, you can buy the physical copy (an image of the box has been making the rounds with the press information).
