Vitamin Connection is a new 2-player title announced from WayForward, arriving as a Switch exclusive and promising gameplay and laughs “unlike anything else” on the system. Though there’s no price or date announced, a few details might interest fans of indie titles:
“By blasting subatomic foes with your Vitamin Beam, utilizing a special claw tool, and navigating maze-like stages, you’ll save the members of the Sable family – including the dog! – from a variety of hazardous and increasingly wacky predicaments. Each level also includes sub-games featuring rhythm challenges, Pong-like reflex tests, and more.”
Players control Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl in their capsule ship, battling evil bacteria—and in 2-player co-op mode, one player controls the ship’s movement and firing, while the other manages aiming and directional rotation. Coordination is going to be key!
Before heading to digital, however, the title will be released as a Limited Run Games physical edition… then the WayForward eShop version will arrive later. It’s a bit perplexing considering how titles have been typically released on Switch, but we’ll have to wait and see what the purpose is for this. WayFoward has a good track record with Switch games, so we’re going to reserve judgement on this decision until more details are announced.
