Yesterday’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase presentation featured a variety of games that dropped on the platform shortly after the presentation ended, and one of them is the puzzle-platformer Evergate—an adventure title where players explore the afterlife as Ki, a childlike spirit revising areas of her world where she once lived.
Gameplay is heavily reliant on a mechanic called the Soulflame, where crystals around the environment are used to teleport and navigate from place to place.
We demoed this title at a previous PAX weekend and found it very atmospheric, charming, and visually stunning, but also challenging and thoughtful.
The game is available on the Switch eShop for $16.99 for a limited time, a 15% launch discount from the regular price of $19.99.
