Bad news for Star Wars fans and fans of LEGO games—it was rumored earlier this week but we didn’t want to disappoint anyone so didn’t mention it, but now it’s official… LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not be released until Spring 2021.
The first sign of the change came when the official LEGO website changed the listing to read that the game would be “coming in 2021”, and it was confirmed during the Gamescom Opening Night Live gameplay reveal trailer.
Speaking of the trailer, which we assume you’ll watch, but in case you don’t and would prefer to read the description from the YouTube caption box:
The galaxy is yours with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga! Play through all nine Star Wars™ saga films in a brand-new LEGO video game unlike any other. Experience fun-filled adventures, whimsical humor, and the freedom to fully immerse yourself in the LEGO Star Wars universe like never before.
There’s no denying this game looks rather spectacular. Being able to play through some of Star Wars’ greatest moments? Sounds like a heck of a lot of fun, that will be worth waiting for.
